Family Makerspace Events at YES! give children and their grown-ups a chance to create, experiment, and solve challenges together. Each event features a different theme with a hands-on STEAM challenge that may involve building, designing, engineering, art, science experiments, and creative problem-solving.

Families will work together to explore the materials, share ideas, test different solutions, and make changes along the way. The goal is not to create one “perfect” project, but to use creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving to complete the challenge. Small rewards will be available to help celebrate each family’s hard work and creativity!

There is no age limit, so the whole family is welcome to participate. Challenges will offer opportunities for younger children, older kids, teens, and adults to contribute in their own ways.

​

Cost: $20 per family

Family Makerspace Events are offered in an open-house format, so families may arrive whenever it works for them during the scheduled Makerspace window. Dates, times, and themes vary, so check the individual event listing for details about the next challenge.
